The H. Upmann range comprises of light to medium strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region. Measuring 5 7/8” (150mm) x 54 ring gauge this new offering shares its dimensions with the Montecristo Open Eagle, a size known as a Geniales in the factories of Cuba.
The Connoisseur B is part of the classic H. Upmann portfolio and, along with the Magnum 54, is the joint widest vitola within the range.
It serves up all of the classic, well-balanced and time-honoured, light to medium bodied taste that has helped make H. Upmann such a favourite among aficionados and novices alike, ever since it was first launched back in 1844.

“This 5.9×54 stick features a dark tan softly packed wrapper with a dense feel, soft velvet texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and rich honey and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with rich medium-full bodied smoke showing flavours of a smooth deep peppery earth followed by a creamy sweetness on the long finish. The first third grows quite complex, shifting to a pepper, spice, sweet cream, bright leather and graham cracker, all carrying through the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes dropping a solid ash with no transitions. Ending at 1:20 the last third drops the sweet cream, going to a deeper earth once again, bringing in quite a strength kick matching the body.”
