Perfection in every layer
Sir Winston Churchill was a man of many facets – the world leader’s diverse interests governed his daily routines and complemented one another. One way for Sir Winston to unwind from the rigours of running a country was through his love for art.
A painter of note, it was his achievements on the canvas which gave Sir Winston as much pride as those on the world’s stage. His paintings of rich landscapes were a creative outlet that enriched his office responsibilities.
Brush in one hand, cigar in the other, he would apply his artistry layer by layer, blended to a complex masterpiece that would delight those indulging in it.
Inspired by this routine, the Davidoff Master Blenders composed this limited-edition cigar with a multi-origin blend that is as layered as Sir Winston and his paintings. The complex yet harmonious taste journey of nuts, coffee and cedar wood would have been the perfect accompaniment for one of Sir Winston’s painting sessions.
Presented in the format honouring the great aficionado himself, the Churchill certainly lives up to its name. A man of great complexity deserves a cigar of equal depth.
Inspired by the facet of the artist - The cigar and the blend
The Churchill format of the Limited Edition cigar is not only Sir Winston’s personal favourite; it is also reminiscent of a paintbrush. As an artist, Sir Winston skilfully used the brush to bring his creative vision to life on canvas. When painting, he knew of the significance of balanced blending. Changing even a small amount of the same colour in a blend has a big effect on the final colour.
The same applies to cigar blends: Davidoff crafted the limited cigar with the same multi-origin tobaccos as in 'The Original Series', but creatively balanced them in different proportions to create a new taste experience.
Artistry inside and out
Like the cigar, the packaging design of the Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2025 inspired by the Artist emphasises Sir Winston Churchill’s appreciation of painting. This is evident upon opening the wooden box, which features Churchill’s painting “Cork Trees Near Mimizan” (Painted in the south of France in 1924) inside the lid as well as on the second cigar ring of the ten churchill cigars. Davidoff was granted exclusive permission to use the artwork thanks to the collaboration with the Churchill family.
Inside the box, a wooden separator allows for the cigars to be stored properly. For those aficionados who wish to present their cigars outside the box, Davidoff has included a wooden inlay inspired by a painter’s palette. Another element reminiscent of an artist’s toolbox is the hook clasp. For a finishing touch and easy handling, Davidoff has included two golden hinges on the sides to keep the lid in place.
