The Fernandez Dorado farm, located in Esteli, holds a special place in the New World Dorado blend. The soil of this farm boasts a distinctive golden hue, which inspired the cigar's name. In Spanish, "dorado" means "golden," paying homage to the farm's unique attributes. The Dorado farm, established only five years ago, contributed tobacco from its first harvest in 2017 to create the New World Dorado brand.

The all-Nicaraguan blend of the New World Dorado features a Sun Grown Habano wrapper and Criollo 98 binder, both sourced from the Dorado farm. While some filler tobacco is sourced from other fields in Condega and Esteli, the majority of the filler blend comprises leaves from the Dorado plantation.
